Motion Materials
Motion materials are the documents filed with the court when a party seeks an interim or procedural order before a final hearing takes place. In estate litigation matters, motions may address issues such as preserving estate assets, compelling financial disclosure, scheduling matters, or obtaining temporary relief. Motion materials commonly include a Notice of Motion, affidavits, exhibits, and legal arguments supporting the request being made to the court. Properly prepared motion materials help ensure that urgent or contested issues are addressed efficiently during the course of estate litigation proceedings.
