Adam T. Higgins

Adam is an Associate Lawyer at the Cahill Firm. He guides and represents people dealing with a range of life's most difficult conflicts, from family separations and divorces, to contractual and violent disputes. Adam provides his clients with clear and practical advice to ensure that they fully understand the legal process, the options available to them, and the potential benefits and risks of their options. Adam is a resolute and strategic advocate for both within and outside of the courtroom.
Adam studied law at Queen's University where he served as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Queen's Law Journal, a caseworker at the Prison Law Clinic, and as a Teaching Assistant in the Certificate in Law program. He graduated on the Dean's List and with course prizes in criminal law and remedies. He represented Queen's in the Ontario Trial Lawyer's Association Cup civil trial moot, where he won the awards for both Best Team and Best Closing Argument. Adam now teaches as the Civil Law course instructor at Nipissing University, where he previously earned his B.A. and M.A., and was awarded the President's Gold Medal.
Adam has made Kingston his home, where he resides with his fiancé and dachshund. Adam is a blackbelt in goshin jitsu, an avid Dungeons and Dragons player, and enjoys a mug of earl grey tea.
